Demo account: $10,000 in virtual money
The demo account gives you $10,000 in practice money. It is free, has no time limit and can be topped up whenever the balance runs low, and it uses the same charts, tools and assets as the real account, which makes it a good place to learn the platform before you deposit anything.
The difference is the money: demo profits are virtual and cannot be withdrawn, and trades carry no real pressure, so results on demo are easier to get than results with your own pesos. It is a practice space and carries no bonus.

Real account and account currency
Your real account starts working when you make your first deposit, with no separate sign-up form. The minimum is ₱580 (about $10), you must be 18 or older, and each person can hold one account only. A second account can be suspended or blocked at IQ Option’s discretion, and opening one to reach VIP faster counts as abuse.
At the first deposit you choose the account currency: PHP, USD, EUR or GBP. It is fixed after that and cannot be changed, and if you deposit or withdraw in another currency, a conversion fee of up to 4% can apply. Most traders who pay with GCash, Maya or a local bank pick PHP so every transaction stays in pesos; deposits and withdrawals covers each method.
VIP status: Philippine thresholds
VIP is added to your real account automatically once you meet the targets, with no application and no payment. Both the deposit target and the volume target must be met inside the period.

Trading volume is the total size of the positions you open, not your profit. The peso figures are approximate, and if you miss the keep targets the account goes back to a standard real account.

IQ Option can change or cancel these benefits at any time without notice, so do not deposit more or open extra trades only to reach the targets. Anyone who messages you offering a VIP account or an account manager is not working for IQ Option.
How to verify your IQ Option account
You can deposit and trade before you verify, but you cannot withdraw until verification is done. IQ Option can also ask for documents at any time, for example when you deposit with a new card, so doing it early avoids a delay on your first withdrawal.
- Open the verification screen. Sign in and open verification from your profile, or follow the prompt that appears before your first withdrawal.
- Enter your personal details. Use your full name, date of birth and address exactly as they appear on your ID.
- Confirm your email. Type the code IQ Option sends to your inbox. You can skip this step and do it later, but you will need it for a withdrawal.
- Upload proof of identity. Add one valid ID as a JPG, PNG or PDF up to 15 MB. If you are not ready, choose Attach documents later.
- Add proof of address or card photos if asked. IQ Option can request these at any time. Send them in the same formats.
- Wait for the review. IQ Option’s terms allow up to 10 business days, and clear documents help. Contact support if the status does not change.

Accepted documents and common rejections
The upload screen says your document must clearly show six things:
- Your full name
- Your photo
- Your date of birth
- The expiry date
- The document number
- Your signature
For Philippine users, these documents are expected to be accepted:
- Proof of identity: Philippine passport, driver’s licence, SSS ID, UMID or PhilSys National ID
- Proof of address: utility bill, bank statement or barangay certificate dated within the last 3 months
The upload screen does not list these IDs by name, so IQ Option may ask for something different, in which case follow what the screen or Support asks for. Send JPG, PNG or PDF files up to 15 MB each.
Why documents get rejected
- The photo is blurry or part of the document is cropped out
- The ID has expired
- The address document is older than 3 months
- The name does not match your account profile
- The file type is not JPG, PNG or PDF
- The document belongs to someone else

Card verification
If you deposit with a bank card, IQ Option can ask you to verify it by uploading a signed photo of the front and back of the card. Cover the three-digit CVV on the back and the middle digits on the front so only the first 6 and the last 4 digits are visible. For a virtual card, send a screenshot of the full card page in your bank app or browser.
GCash, Maya and other e-wallet deposits do not use card photos. Deposits and withdrawals explains how each method works, including why a withdrawal must go to an account in your own name.
Account security: 2-step authentication and sessions
Open your profile and choose Safety & Security to turn on 2-Step Authentication, which sends an extra confirmation code when you log in. The same page lets you change your password, see your active sessions, end all sessions to log out of every device and read your session history. To change the password, IQ Option first asks you to confirm your email or phone.
Use a password you do not use anywhere else. IQ Option only accepts payments from accounts in your own name, so nobody else can ask you to pay through theirs. Login problems such as the login limit message are covered on the login page.
Inactivity fee and other account fees
Three fees depend on how you use a real account, and none apply to the demo.

Blocked or restricted account: reasons and fixes
A blocked account and one you closed yourself are different cases, and these are the usual causes with what to try first.

Close temporarily or delete permanently
In your profile settings you will find three options: Download My Data, Temporary Closing of Account and Deletion of Account and Personal Data.

If you may want to come back, choose temporary closing, because deletion is permanent. Before closing for good, check that no deposit bonus or pending withdrawal is still open.
Islamic (swap-free) account
IQ Option has a swap-free mode for clients outside the EU and EEA. While it is on, no overnight swap is charged, but spreads and other fees still apply and some assets may be unavailable. IQ Option does not guarantee that the mode meets the rules of any particular faith, so check with a religious adviser first.
On a Philippine peso account we found no switch for it in October 2026, so ask support through live chat or at support@iqoption.com whether it can be enabled for your account. There is no promise that it will be.
